Well I finally have a moment to write something! We are all doing well here. Austin had to get casts on his legs...from his toes to his hips. We have to go back every week for 6 weeks to get him new casts. They turn his feet a little more each time. Then after the casts he will need to wear corrective shoes till he's about 4 yrs old. He is very uncomfortable and upset with mom and dad, but he will thank us when he can run after his brother! But other than that we are all good and having fun with the new baby and his big brother!

So glad that it was casts and not surgery! Poor little guy looks kinda uncomfortable though. So how long do you continue with the castings? One year? Six months?

We need to go back to Shriners once a week to get new casts. They will turn his feet a little more each time. Then they will need to put a a small nick into his ankle tendon and he will have to wear casts for about 2 weeks more then he will have to wear corrective shoes until hes 4yrs old...not all day at least!!
